{Letter #45} "I believe in angels!" πŸ˜‡

November 17, 2025

Good morning πŸŒ„
This week was an adventure! It poured for the past couple of days which I LOVE.

but it also means we've had 98% of our lessons cancel for the rain or for the cold...(it's been like 60 degrees).  On the plus side of the rain, people have been really nice to us this week.

I guess people here in Cali are more likely to say yes when they feel bad that you literally look like a drowned rat??

We had exchanges in Santa Paula and I got to spend the day with Hermana McAllister!! She is studying to be a (I've forgotten the word) she's studying plants! Turns out we literally had the same bishop from BYU-I barely in different semesters.

We have an incredible friend named Mario that we are working with. He has met with missionaries before. He is so cool and he has a motorcycle 🏍 if y'all could keep him in your prayers that would be awesome:)

Had a very special pass off lesson to the elders. πŸ˜πŸŽ‰
"No, we are not going to hug you. Yes, we understand it is your birthday."

Julio got set apart as a missionary!!

Stopped by a random cafe to get out of the rain for a moment and it ended up being a man who'd been baptized into the church and was excited to see missionaries he gave us free herbal tea/ hot chocolate:)

Spiritual thought 2 nephi 29

And I do this that I may prove unto many that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that I speak forth my words according to mine own pleasure. And because that I have spoken one word ye need not suppose that I cannot speak another; for my work is not yet finished; neither shall it be until the end of man, neither from that time henceforth and forever.

How has God proved himself to you lately?

{Letter #44} "Te van a robar" πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜‡πŸŒŠ

Good morning and I'm sorry! I have doing awful at my emails as of late.  I will improve. Una promesa de los dedos🀝

Some wonderful highlights from this week!

Eliecer was baptized.  So many miracles I have seen in his story and from knowing and having the privilege to teach him.   He said he could not stop smiling when he left the water that smiling felt natural. He also brought his mom and sister to his baptism!

We went to the temple!!  It was beautiful!

Exchanges with Hermana Olaveson
The missionary farewell of member Julio!!

It was an awesome week very busy and crazy but very happy and good!

Australia fun facts of the week 🦘
-They have a basketball league like the NBA but not as big called NBL (the english elders in the area are teaching a man from Sydney Australia who plays for the NBL)

-they don't have social security numbers

Some thoughts

Hebrews 12:2
"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Something I've been learning a lot about is the combination of grace and faith
I realized that sometimes I spend a lot of time waiting to have "enough" to act or to move. I love the concept of faith and grace. Because it means that we always have enough when we are looking to Christ. His grace will make up the difference.
