{Letter #43} SEE THAT WATER BOTTLE? THAT IS A WEAPON!

 GOOD MORNING!!!!
How are you doing??
This week was so good.

Slightly in context quotes of this week

"And we were literally busting" (Australian for we literally need to pee so bad)
Saw cute Lil lady blowing kisses- approached her to realize it was a man we preserved and invited him to church and he preceded to say
"I just want your number."

Friend-"Teach me something in English,"
Me- "uhhh hello."

Neighbor- See that water bottle that's a weapon
Some miracles
Eliecer accepted a new baptismal date and he is so excited and prepared

We found Sergio who has referred himself like 3 times. He lives in a homeless shelter and we taught and found a few of his friends there as well. It was great fun. We got handed 3 cans of soda during the one lesson! And our friend Sergio put a blanket over us haha.

Our friend Ismael brought his whole crew to our lesson
Finding our friend Jorge who had just barely moved

Moroni 10 32
32 Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.

Something I saw a lot this week is that sometimes we need to act in Faith and then grace will make up the difference when our efforts inevitably fall short

{Letter #41} "We are not fretting."

Good morning πŸŒ„

Exchanges with Hermana Olaveson
Santa Paula is iconic. We had a lesson with a few super awesome friends.

Went to a birthday party for Alan!!  (more pics below)
We watched conference with Alma and her family and Eliecer! It was so fun.

All in spanish...so If I mention something that you didn't hear, I probably didn't hear it either.

Learned a missionary skill I have-
RECYCLING πŸ‘©‍🌾
let me explain
So basically here in Cali people dig through trash to find recyclable things. And then they like recycle them and make money πŸ’°

Now that's got nothing to do with me and that's got nothing to do with missionary work right?
False
For those of you who don't know I quite enjoy using plastic water bottles (fun fact) and generally have a small collection of said plastic water bottles somewhere in my near vicinity.
This week I've found a great joy in contacting through stopping the people digging through trash and offering them my plastic water bottles! Great fun. Would reccomend.

Weird random and good highlights
-pug puppies
- hiking with friends
- Made the worst pumpkin bread one has ever consumed (didn't have sugar) ever but fed it to other missionaries anyway
-I was famous for a prayer
- I got lost in a members yard and they laughed at me
-I gave a talk at church and I didn't want to cry after
- Our dear friend Enrique bought us jello because he said said I looked mad at him.
- ELIECER
-a man painted us a picture of Jesus because he always sees us walking around the area pic below it's so cool

Something I loved from conference is that we always have a choice how we react. I don't remember who said it but we don't get to choose what happens in our lives or what others do. But we can always choose how we react and to be peacemakers. It makes me think of this scripture which I adore.

" Ye shall not fear them: for the Lord your God he shall fight for you."

Choose God in each circumstance and he will fight for us.
