{Letter #35} "Kachai? You know?"

hello hello!!
Ismael is progressing so well! But he didn't come to church which was super sad. We are going to try driving to remind him and see if that works.

We went to a really pretty site in Ventura called the Cross to do studies and saw a lovely view.
We have the coolest friend ever Eliecer. We met him at a gas station. He is so prepared. He already gave the prayer and we've only had two lessons 🫨

Got to practice spanish in setting besides lessons including- cashier at trader joes. The laundry lady at the temple and talking to president and Hermana. 

We spent some time in Ojai cute little town with lots of horses 

I got yelled at 3 times in one day on the Avenue. (Downtown Ventura)I love the Ave very much but for the next few days we took quite the break and tried some other parts of our very large area.

Thus God has provided a means that man, through faith, might work mighty miracles; therefore he becometh a great benefit to his fellow beings

What do miracles mean to you? What miracles have you seen in your life? 

I love thinking of miracles. I often remember that God has all power I remember the stories of Moses parting the seas through the power of God or the dead being raised by the power of God. But I love this reminder God will provide a mean that YOU can apply and access that power in your life. He has power that is unchanged and unchanging and he is also your loving Heavenly father. Through faith you can open the door to see his miracles :)

Good week!  Had some fun random things.

We had interviews and also apparently we're going to do service in the temple this week which I'm so excited about :)

Wednesday
Ismeal is going to be baptized!
Talked with these two Muslim men Abdul and Mohamad about god, outside of a Barbershop, and it ended in them handing us 50 dollars.

Went to dinner :) 

Thursday
Went to ojai!!
Our friend Eliecer is INCREDIBLE!! 
Had some awesome lessons with some very cool friends 

Friday
Exchanges with Hermana Mcvey
Found a new friend while backing the car
Alan is the best member as well as Cinthia
Our neighbor Cliff told us he loved us and he was going to marry us, again.

Saturday 
Had a lesson with Alma and she literally would not let us leave with out food

Sunday
Had stake conference
Eliecer came to Stake conference!!!
Had interviews
Watched Alan and Julio get roasted by Hermana Balboa for an hour straight during a member meal.

Spiritual thought 
This week our mission has been talking about faith! Something that I loved is that we each have so many blessings promised to us and that by exercising just a bit of faith ,we don't earn those blessing, but we open the door to them.

This week was awesome, but this will be a fast email. 

Highlights
-I crushed everyone in card games today at our activity I won 2-3 

-The cute Hermana that gave me candy during church because I had cold hands 

-The 2 pound dog at Isabella's

Zone conference !!!!
We won gold plates for clean car and I saw 4 of my comps forgot to get a pic though 

Met some awesome members 

Cynthia is one of my favorites ever she's a new member here and she is so cute 

We had a lesson with this guy named Bruno who is actually insanely cool

And we did some finding in Ojai!
Ojai is a weird little town that is pretty far away from the rest of our area but I love it 

HNA Vanderbilt y HNA Crawford!!!!!

-Lessons with Alma! She fed us very spicy tacos.

-We got locked out of our apartment for about an hour until the glades saved us

-Got called Ellie 🥲

Jacob 2:8

And it supposeth me that they have come up hither to hear the pleasing word of God, yea, the word which healeth the wounded soul.

I love this scripture and I know that the word of God has the power to heal :)

{Letter #32} "Usted es la señorita?"

Good week!

We were one of 6 companionships that  got emergency evacuated for a night for the Tsunami in Australia {it was actually an earthquake in Russia that triggered the tsunami warnings} and slept on the floor of other sisters apartment for a night. 

Went on trio splits for a day for MLC with Hermana McVey

Met some cool people

Here are some highlights-
Carlos! I saw him biking and yelled at him and had a quick super quick convo but then he had to go. I was sad because he was so cool but then later that night we got a random call answered it, guess who it was CARLOS (They'd stopped teaching him months ago with out much contact)
He called us and set up a time to meet :) insane I'm so excited 

-We had some good lessons with some cool friends! 

-VICTOR {from Oxnard} got in touch and is doing great😭🤍 

-Had a rando on the street ask us to read scriptures with them. SO COOL. 

-LESSON with Sergio HE'S #INCREDIBLE 

God's plan is better! He wants your joy and he really knows how to help to get there. I love this video because it reminds me that we can't always see the whole picture but God has a great plan for us and it includes joy that exceeds any amount of pain we've experience. It's about 3 mins I'd highly recommend!
