{Letter #32} "Usted es la señorita?"

Good week!

We were one of 6 companionships that  got emergency evacuated for a night for the Tsunami in Australia {it was actually an earthquake in Russia that triggered the tsunami warnings} and slept on the floor of other sisters apartment for a night.

Went on trio splits for a day for MLC with Hermana McVey

Met some cool people

Here are some highlights-
Carlos! I saw him biking and yelled at him and had a quick super quick convo but then he had to go. I was sad because he was so cool but then later that night we got a random call answered it, guess who it was CARLOS (They'd stopped teaching him months ago with out much contact)
He called us and set up a time to meet :) insane I'm so excited

-We had some good lessons with some cool friends!

-VICTOR {from Oxnard} got in touch and is doing great😭🤍

-Had a rando on the street ask us to read scriptures with them. SO COOL.

-LESSON with Sergio HE'S #INCREDIBLE

God's plan is better! He wants your joy and he really knows how to help to get there. I love this video because it reminds me that we can't always see the whole picture but God has a great plan for us and it includes joy that exceeds any amount of pain we've experience. It's about 3 mins I'd highly recommend!

{Letter #31} "And this, this is for you;)" 🕺👨‍🎤

Well folks I was indeed incorrect. 1 transfer and I'm out of Santa Barbara.

I'm now in the area Ventura :) with Hermana Searles! What a sweetheart! She is from Colorado and is really good at crocheting!

I was surprised to leave and definitely sad because I LOVE Santa Barbara. But I also already adore Ventura. It's a bit more city, downtown vibes than my other areas. Lots of weirdos here. Which is fun and something I enjoy. The first day I got here we went to a park and the elders called us over cause there was guy speaking spanish and they couldn't understand him. We went over and it was a homeless man who started singing to us and then preceded to start dancing as well. Then pointed directly at one of the elders and said it's para ti and went off dancing. So I love Ventura and all the people.

We have some incredible friends. We are teaching a couple families which is new for me and soo soo fun!
There is this INCREDIBLE family Lily, Emily, and Christian!!!
They are so interested in developing their relationships with God and growing closer to him right now which is pretty cool.

The ward is so precious and the members are very kind and want to help.
Anyways that's all for today I need to finish unpacking

What is one thing, YOU can do today to act upon the words of God?
Whatever comes to your mind
I invite you to try that :)

{Letter #30} "Estoy enamorado de ti jeje."

Hello!
What's up??

This week flew by
It was so good!!
Some of our progressing friends are struggling right now so we're working on supporting them and FINDING.

We've been having a hard time getting our one friend to church so yesterday we schemed and set up a lesson in a park and brought a member (the plan was to kidnap our friend and bring him to church.) But guess who didn't come to the park until hours later 😀😒

-President AND Hermana Rodriguez joined our district council last week which was fun

-A package!! And letters (THANK YOU MOM AND EMMA)

-THE MEMBERS HERE🥰

We had a member meal with the Obispos and heard so much chisma

-HERMANA NOHELIA I adore her she is just the cutest little grandma and she loves zumba and helping the missionaries

-"Estoy enamorado de ti jeje." A friend confessed his love in text with a jeje at the end.

-Our super cool friend who's come to church 3x can MEET this week!!

-Fortune Friday /transfers next week ( I think I'm staying and I'll probably have a new companion but we never know)

-Were asked if we were from Switzerland

🤍
I read this this morning in my studies
Mosiah 14
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we, like sheep, have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquities of us all.

And with his stripes we are healed. He suffered for you and for me. If you feel like you have gone astray this is your reminder that God loves you so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ to suffer the atonement and Jesus loves you so much that he did so willingly. It is never too late, and you cannot sink out of the reach of where Jesus Christ and his light have been :)

He hears every prayer.  And if you listen you will hear him. He loves you and he wants you to talk with him. What does it mean to you, that he has heard you prayers?

Mosiah 3:3-4
And he said unto me: Awake, and hear the words which I shall tell thee; for behold, I am come to declare unto you the glad tidings of great joy.
4 For the Lord hath heard thy prayers, and hath judged of thy righteousness, and hath sent me to declare unto thee that thou mayest rejoice; and that thou mayest declare unto thy people, that they may also be filled with joy.

That's all, it was a fun random week! I love it here! Send me updates stories or chisma! I'd love to hear from you!
